Boston Women’s Self-Defense Class Has Great Turn Out

Women's self-defense class, hosted by the Boston Police Department, was well attended.

A women’s self-defense class, hosted by the Boston Police Department District A-1 Downtown/A-15 Charlestown, was well attended by almost 40 women.

The class, called Street Smarts: Reducing Your Odds, focused on making oneself a tough target and finding strength in numbers in dangerous situations, according to Sergeant Gary J. Eblan.

Sergeant Eblan said, “This class is not about how to fight.  It’s about how to recognize danger signs and having a plan.”
