Concealed Carry Firearms Now Allowed in North Carolina Bars

A new North Carolina gun law will allow people with concealed carry licenses to bring their firearms into bars, if the business allows it.  The new law permits businesses to choose to prevent people from carrying firearms while in their establishment.

The current law states that it is illegal to carry a gun in establishments where alcohol is sold or consumed.

The new law will go into effect on October 1.
