Kimber TLE RL II

Kimber has mated two favorite platforms to build what may be the perfect 1911 pistol for any professional. The TLE / RLII is fielded by LAPD SWAT, and remains a favorite amongst many police officers and operators. It is one of the most reasonably priced, well-built 1911 pistols on the market utilizing a tactical rail. Most are chambered in .45 ACP, but this pistol is also available in 10mm (tested here).

The TLE / RLII is a simple combat pistol with just what you need for duty use. The all-steel receiver uses a tactical rail for lights and other attachments. Frontstrap checkering maintains solid control and the aluminum match-grade trigger ensures accuracy. A steel slide houses a stainless steel, fully supported 10mm barrel. The full-length guide rod maintains accuracy and reliability. Topped with Meprolight 3-dot night sights, it can be fielded in any condition.

Take a quick look at my short video during some of the testing. Watch for the Kimber TLE RLII in an upcoming issue of Combat Handguns where this 10mm pistol is put through its paces. Designed to operate during duty and or harsh conditions, we will see if this combat pistol is ready to go to work.
