Mission First Tactical has introduced a line of extremely compact LED lights that can be kept in the pocket or easily mounted on any Picatinny rail. The new TORCH series have an almost turtle-like shape and are about the size and weight of an electronic key fob. And like a key fob they are push-button activated. The strong, water-resistant polymer construction can be submerged up to one meter. The unit only weighs 0.77 ounces and makes for an excellent backup light.

The real benefit is in their limited 20-lumen output, with two small LED lights in the front. This is more than enough light to clearly identify objects and persons out to 30 feet or more, and the light casts a wide beam so it is much easier and faster to check interior rooms. Three models are available, white light, white and red light which preserves night-vision, and an IR model for use with night vision devices.

The TORCH light has a 10-year storage lifespan and, thanks to the low output and efficient LED lights, it can stay on for 12 hours. Changing the battery is also easy
and does not require removal of the unit from a weapon.
