One Suspect Dead, Another Wanted After Home Invasion in Las Vegas

A Las Vegas home invasion suspect was shot and killed by the homeowner, and another is wanted by police.

A Las Vegas home invasion ended in the shooting death of one suspect, with another still on the loose.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, two suspects broke into a home located in the 8100 block of Cactus Flower Court at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Upon realizing there were intruders in the home, the homeowner fled to an upstairs bedroom to retrieve a gun. One of the suspects, who was also armed, chased after the homeowner.

The two exchanged gunfire, and the intruder was struck multiple times. He managed to run out of the house.

As the Review-Journal reports, police arrived to find the suspect bleeding out on the street. He was transported to University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries about three hours later.

The second intruder fled from the home and is wanted by police.

The resident was uninjured during the incident.
