The ALTAIR Gun Club will host the Bushido Ladies Handgun Course on Friday, March 11, 2016. Guest instructors with Bushido Tactical offer women only classes which are focused on firearm handling for self-defense purposes. The course will be held 9am to 5pm at ALTAIR’s Deep Lake Facility located at 20201 State Road 29 South in Copeland, Florida.

Women will be able to familiarize themselves with a handgun during the class which is designed to train students on how to react when having to protect themselves at home or in public. According to Shirley Watral, ALTAIR Gun Club General Manager, the course allows each student to learn and progress at a steady pace without being overwhelmed with too much information.
The course will review range safety rules and commands, prevailing mindset, pistol nomenclature and firearm marksmanship fundamentals. Students will learn a variety of handgun handling tactics and the instructor review various stances, grip placement, breathing, trigger control, sight alignment, sight picture, multiple threats, various reloading options and malfunction clearing drills.

A course registration fee of $275 per person applies. The training program is open to the public who possess a minimum firearms skill level.
