VIDEO: Tony Blauer on Being a Better Gunfighter

Tony Blauer, creator of the world-famous SPEAR System for self defense, delves into a few critical tips you need to know in order to be a better gunfighter.

When it comes to personal defense and combatives training, it doesn’t get any better than Tony Blauer. As the founder and CEO of Blauer Tactical Systems, Tony has been teaching performance enhancement, fear management, and combatives techniques based on his world renowned SPEAR (Spontaneous Protection Enabling Accelerated Response) System to military, law enforcement and civilian personnel since the 80s.

Naturally, we were psyched when we heard last year that Tony had joined the team over at Panteao Productions as an instructor. He’s already off to a great start with a couple of different “Make Ready” training titles under his belt. The first is centered around the SPEAR System, while the second takes it a step further and delves into the 3 Cs, weapon target identification drills, clear and control drills, grip from hell drills, controlling the armed limb, stance, balance, movement, common positions, and more.

In the clip above, Tony discusses a few critical tips you need to know in order to be a better gunfighter. Hint: it’s all about learning how to use empty hands.
