New Castle County Police say a homeowner with a gun confronted a burglar and handcuffed him. Police say about 1:40 a.m. Thursday, a man entered a home through the front door. The residents were awakened by their dog barking, and one resident got a gun and confronted the burglar.
Police say the resident put handcuffs on the burglar, but he was able to break free and run outside. Officers caught him nearby.
