Two people were shot Monday afternoon when police said a resident decided to fight back in an apparent home invasion on Victoria Avenue.
Emergency crews and police responded to the 1000 block of Victoria at about 5 p.m.
Two people were home at the time when five people stormed into the house with the intent to assault or rob the homeowner, according to Fairborn Sgt. Paul Hicks.
One of the residents was injured in the ensuing struggle. Hicks said two of the home invaders were shot. One was found in the home, suffering from life-threatening injuries. The other was found on the street nearby.
