Police have released a photo of a suspected trespasser who was shot by a South Florida homeowner Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened at about 6 a.m. inside the home on Northwest First Avenue and 56th Street. Investigators said the homeowner was in his house asleep when his barking dog woke him up.
Police said the homeowner found the intruder choking his pet Rottweiler, so he shot him in the leg. The suspected trespasser wasn’t wearing any clothing.
Police took the man into custody and crews then took him to the hospital.
