WAT teams carrying fake guns walked through the Delaware County Safe Schools summit in Drexel Hill, to illustrate that law enforcement’s priority when arriving at a school with an active shooter is to stop the shooter.
Tim Boyce, the preparedness coordinator for the Delaware County D.A., says educators need to know that. “If you’re not mentally prepared, if you haven’t thought about this, training at the point of a gun really does inspire people.”
