
Asleep at his home in Gardiner, Massachussetts, 70-year-old retired welder Michael Salame was jolted out of bed by the sound of an intruder—24-year-old Timothy Adams. Salame immediately called 911, then confronted Adams, applying a chokehold to the throat and landing three right hooks that eventually subdued the younger intruder, rendering him unconscious.
“I give him three good rights,” said Salame, who suffers from a variety of heart-related health conditions. “I caught him right in the face. He went down and he never got up again.”
