After having their concealed carry ban declared unconstitutional by a federal court, Illinois awaits the amended version of a law that will outline the provisions to allow law-abiding citizens in the state to carry concealed weapons for personal defense.

The bill, sponsored by gun rights advocate Sen. Gary Forby (D-Benton), ensures that Illinois will become a “shall-issue” state.
