A robber was shot early Monday when he tried to hold up Georgia Waffle House, police said.
The suspect entered the Waffle House, “brandishing a pistol and demanding money,” said a police spokesperson. A customer inside the 24-hour diner shot the robbery suspect, Hodgson said.
The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment—his condition was not immediately available.
