After the Billings (MT) Police Department held a free women’s self-defense event, other businesses have begun following that example. Three Sights Shooting Range and the Billings Martial Arts Association are holding classes for women to learn basic self-defense moves and situational awareness.
“These are skills that everybody can use. If everybody can’t use it, then it’s no good. It need to work for a women that jogs and lifts weights as well as for a women who is fifty years old , has had injuries and just isn’t as strong as she used to be. These are the kind of things we’re going to be passing on,” said Nadine Fredrickson, co-owner of Three Sights.
