The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is offering a free self-defense class, giving people caught in vulnerable situations the tools they require to fight back.

Sheriff Ryant Washington says this course would be helpful for seniors and students leaving for college, but anyone is welcome.
“Anyone that wants to come participate in the program can certainly come. It’s not where you have to be martial arts savvy, but just simple things that you can do to protect yourself – hopefully for not becoming a victim of a crime,” said Washington.
