Kimber’s Warrior series has been a favorite amongst operators and enthusiasts alike since its very introduction. The SOC (Special Operations Command) model takes that to another level. Designed for absolute dependability under the harshest conditions, it is built using the finest materials.
The steel frame is coated in a dark green KimPro II finish, and houses a solid aluminum match trigger set at between 4 and 5 pounds. Internals are built to last and fit to the highest standards. The steel slide contains a stainless steel match-grade barrel with matching busing. A 16-pound mainspring is coupled with a standard military-length guide rod. An ambidextrous safety and service melt keeps things smooth. Topped off with Tactical Wedge Tritium sights and a Crimson Trace Rail Master laser, it is ready for use under any conditions.
Take a quick peek at some of the testing completed in the short video, and keep an look out for the full review in an upcoming issue of Combat Handguns, as David Bahde puts this hardcore 1911 pistol to the test in the summer heat of Salt Lake City.
