Illinois was the only state in the U.S. that forbade guns in public, a rule due to change in a few months.
Starting this fall, people who want to conceal and carry will be able to, but they’ll have to take part in required training first. With no courses approved yet, the first few approved concealed carry instructors are left to speculate what the training may consist of.
Anyone wanting a concealed carry permit will have to finish 16 hours of training before sending in an application.
