In Lagrange, GA a civilian firearms safety course will be hosted by the Troup County Sheriff’s Office for the first 20 registrants.
The free four-hour basic course is designed for new or inexperienced gun owners 21 years of age or older, who would like to learn basic hand gun safety and shooting techniques and will be taught by a certified firearms instructor. Each participant is asked to bring their own handgun and at least 50 rounds of ammunition. Guns ranging from .22 to .45 caliber are acceptable and holsters are recommended.
