In Piqua, Ohio a 12-hour self-defense program for women, from 15 years of age and older will be held at the YWCA and co-sponsored by the Piqua Police Department. All classes are taught by Piqua Police officers who are R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense)-certified instructors. The program is scheduled for the month of September, on selected days and time frame.
“R.A.D. is great for women of all ages who want to be able to defend themselves if the need arises,” said Lynn Marroletti, YWCA program director. “One of the missions of the YWCA is to empower women and this class definitely enables women to be empowered especially when a situation develops,” she added.
