Oregon Concealed Carry has seen an increase in licenses to carry a concealed handgun. About one in 15 adults has the license — up from one in 22 adults in 2010.
The number of concealed handgun licenses increased nearly 23 percent during the first six months of this year.
The surge follows the December shooting at Clackamas Town Center, which left two shoppers dead and one wounded. The number of FBI background checks for gun purchases through federally licensed dealers soared that month by 39 percent.
