State Rep. John McGinnis (R-Blair) is hosting a Concealed Carry Class, to better inform area gun owners regarding Pennsylvania’s gun laws. The event will be held at the Penn State Altoona Devorris Downtown Center, 1431 12th Ave., in Altoona.
“I invite gun owners who have questions about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws or the Castle Doctrine to attend,” said McGinnis. “Our speakers will discuss how to safely interact with police when carrying a firearm and detail the legal aspects of Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine, which allows a homeowner to use deadly force if necessary to protect themselves when threatened by an armed intruder.”
Class instructors include Blair County Assistant District Attorney Wade Kagarise and Blair County Sheriff Mitch Cooper.
