In Sanford, Florida, Army war veteran Gene Strick of 74-years of age defended himself by pulling out a gun, defending himself from a home invader who forced his way into his home.

“He was looking for somebody,” said Gene Strick. “I told him to leave, and he wouldn’t leave… stood there, so I touched him, and he said ‘Don’t you touch me!’ That’s when I said, well he’s getting rowdy. So I went back and picked up the gun off the table.” Strick grabbed his .32 caliber Beretta.

Sanford police officers are searching for the perpetrator.
