In Gaston County, North Carolina an upcoming workshop for women, to learn how to defend themselves against a sexual assault.
FTF Gastonia is hosting a sexual assault at a cost of $25. All of the proceeds go to the Marine Levine Fund for breast cancer research.
Levine was a fourth-degree black belt in Krav Maga, a form of self-defense developed for the Israeli defense forces. Ryan Hoover, co-founder of FTF, says the seminars are in memory of his sister-in-law Jeanette Brown, who was diagnosed with breast cancer and died three years ago, and Levine.
