On Veterans Day over 100 veterans, active-duty members and their spouses filed into Kovac’s Hall. Spending hours learning about firearms safety as a first step toward getting a concealed-carry permit.
In the following two weeks, class attendees who have turned in their qualifying documents to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department have been met with news that their applications are on hold, pending the result of an investigation into whether the class met state standards.
