In Hernando, Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood stated firearms owners with enhanced gun-permits may take their concealed weapons to locations such as the voting booth, government meetings, or state airports.
Hood released an opinion stating where owners with enhanced gun permits may carry their weapons. The opinion came after a request from the city of Cornith for clarification.
In the opinion, which is not binding law, but rather a statement to guide public officials as they do their jobs, Hood listed locations where enhanced permit holders may or may not carry concealed weapons under state law.
The difference between a regular and enhanced permit is that to have an enhanced permit, firearms training is required.
