Some concealed carry applicants are having issues when applying on the Illinois State Police website.
The issues are occurring when applicants try to get a digital ID number. Monique Bond with ISP stated that the problem has to do with Java compatibility, and the state is offering to help those who need it.
Bond says state police are aware of a “handful” of applicants having issues out of the roughly 30,000 online applications processed so far.
“I did have to update my browser to get the latest version (of Java),” said Bob Bollman, owner of The Gun Shoppe in Highland. “I can see how someone who didn’t use (computers) every day would have some issues.”
