One thing that makes this holster different from other high-ride, pancake-style, thumb-break rigs is the thumb-break safety strap. When you break the release on the strap on this holster, a spring incorporated in the strap causes the strap to spring open and away so it does not impede your draw or subsequent re-holstering.
The exterior of this holster is constructed of 1580 denier ballistic weight nylon and the interior is made of 600 denier ballistic weight nylon. Between these nylon layers is memory foam that allows the handgun to mold to the holster for a custom fit.
It also keeps the holster from closing shut when the gun is removed. The edges of the holster are reinforced for long-lasting wear and every component is lock-stitched into place.
