January will mark the anniversary of the Police Activities League (PAL) and Alternatives to Violence (ATV) partnering up on free self-empowerment and defense for women and girls.

Many participants attended to learn how to be more aware of their surroundings, and how to recognize an attack before it strikes, then take safe and appropriate action. Their goal is to get home safely to their families at the end of each day.

Training is referred to as WWE – Women’s Wellness and Empowerment self-defense.
