A Notice of Appeal was filed by Knife Rights, in its federal civil rights lawsuit against New York City, ensuing a judge’s refusal to authorize supposed “defects” in the case documents to be corrected.
The judge previously used those “defects” to try to throw out the case. U.S. District Judge Katherine B. Forrest previously held that the plaintiffs don’t have standing to sue, because the complaint didn’t identify specific knives that would be illegal under New York City’s misinterpretation of state law.
