Montana Rifle Company SCR & Princess Warrior
Montana Rifle Company’s American Vantage Rifle (AVR) and Xtreme Vantage Rifle (XVR) got the spotlight late in 2013, distinguished from their walnut- and synthetic-stocked predecessors by stiffer barrels and iron sights. Chambered in .35 Whelen, .375 Ruger, .375 H&H, .416 Remington, .416 Ruger, .458 Lott and .458 Winchester, they’re built on Montana’s Winchester M70-style actions with barrels from The Montana Rifleman.
They bridge a gap between standard sporters and the firm’s Dangerous Game Rifle. Now there’s the Seven Continent Rifle, or SCR, a synthetic-stocked muscle gun for cartridges as big as the .338 Lapua, .416 Rigby and .505 Gibbs. From the Custom Shop, Montana brings women the Princess long- or short-action rifle with a left- or right-side bolt. Choose from all standard chamberings, which in 2014 include the 6XC and .280 Ackley!
