Safariland Model 5377 GLS Concealment Holster
Safariland’s Model 5377 GLS Concealment Holster is one of a series of GLS (Grip Locking System) holsters that features a hip-carry design with belt loops. It is available for belt widths of 1.5, 1.75, 2 and 2.25 inches and can be used as an off-duty concealment rig. It also comes with Safariland’s three-hole mounting platform so it can be used with the popular Quick Locking System (QLS) attachment system.
* Low-cut and compact design makes concealment easy while also allowing for a quick draw
* Raised stand-off surfaces in the interior of the holster create air space around the weapon allowing dirt and moisture to quickly clear any contact with the firearm
* 3-Hole pattern on holster backing makes it compatible with all Safariland mounting accessories
* 567BL belt loop fits 1.5 in. (38 mm) to 1.75 in. (45 mm) belts
The GLS 5377 features a patent-pending security device that holds the firearm in place once it’s holstered. This innovative retention mechanism is quickly and intuitively released with the middle finger during the presentation and provides weapon security from gun grabs while keeping the handgun close to the body for ideal concealment. The middle finger is placed in the exact location of the lock-release mechanism to release the security device while drawing from a proper shooting grip. The finger is swept over the GLS, releasing the weapon with a simple, straight-up draw out of the holster. The low-cut sides of the holster aid in draw speed and re-holstering. All the GLS models feature Safarilaminate wrap-around construction for a lightweight holster with excellent fit. Presently, this holster is available for a number of Glock, Smith & Wesson M&P and Springfield XD models.
