Free self-defense courses for teenaged girls and women are being offered by the Johns Creek Police Department in Georgia, where they can learn situational awareness and self-defense.
The women’s class is set for 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on February 18, 2014, and the teenagers’ class, for girls 13 to 20 years old, is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 11, 2014.
The classes are taught by Sgt. Debbie Kalish and Sgt. Ben Finley. Both are experienced Defensive Tactics instructors with more than 30 years combined law enforcement experience.
