
An Illinois homeowner shot the intruder entering his home.
The intruder, Michael Huston, 26, was found after being shot a few blocks away from the site of the burglary and was taken to Delnor Community Hospital. Police said he had non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released from the hospital.
Huston faces charges of one count of residential burglary and one count of possession of burglary tools, according to the Kane County Sheriff’s office.
The homeowner, 43, was alone at home at the time and has a valid Illinois FOID card.
