Those who legally carry a concealed firearm should know the laws that go along with such a responsibility.
Pennsylvania Rep. Curt Sonney, R-Harborcreek, held seminar Thursday night in Erie to discuss misconceptions that surround the state’s concealed carry law.
“There are rights concerning when you can carry, how you must carry, whether it’s concealed or in you car,” attorney Tim George told ErieTVnews.com. “There are rules about where you can carry.”
According to George, you aren’t allowed to carry a concealed weapon inside of federal buildings, like the post office or courthouse. There’s also certain procedures to follow if you’re approached by a police officer.
“Obviously, a firearm is a weapon,” Sonney told ErieTVnews.com. “It’s a dangerous weapon and you need to be very responsible if you’re going to carry a gun.”
