Every woman should know self defense in the event of a threat against their well-being, or so says Southern California martial arts instructor T.J. Peterson.
On Saturday, April 5, Peterson will host a “Self Defense Workshop for Women” from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cypress Church, located at 6143 Ball Road in Cypress, Calif.
Women, high school age or above, are invited to the workshop, which will teach women “how to assess, prevent and defend themselves in real life situations. Participants will be shown and trained in techniques including physical attacks and weapons defense.”
The two-hour workshop is $10 per person. Participants are asked to dress in comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear that allows for movement.
[Peterson] has studied martial arts for more than seven years and has been an instructor for the past four. He has taken classes in weapons training and sparring, as well as rape prevention and psychology of predators in order to effectively train and teach women’s and kid’s self defense for real-world application.
