Residents in the community of Pendleton, Ore., will have the opportunity to learn self-defense tactics from local police officers in May.
Tony Nelson of the Pendleton Police Department will host a self-defense class for residents ages 14 to 99.
The class, sponsored by Pendleton Parks and Recreation, will teach basic tactics.
It will meet Monday, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Police Department Training Center off the new Airport Road.
According to the East Oregonian, “the SWAT van will be parked on the south side of the road at the driveway to the center.”
