Women's Self-Defense

A self-defense class was taught to the senior girls at Princeton Community High School by Bobby Wood from the Princeton Police Department, and Tony Meredith from the Princeton Sheriff’s Office. The class was optional but the attendance was greater than expected with nearly 60 girls participating. The instructors taught the girls proper defense techniques and how to target pressure points all in an effort to make being as a college student a little more comfortable.

“I would say have a little more self confidence,” says instructor Tony Meredith. “I mean they are going to have to practice this on their own time but a little more self confidence to where they may be able to get out of a bad situation if it did happen to them.”
