Free Gun Safety Class to be Taught in Crossville, TN

A free gun safety class will be offered at the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville, TN from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 14. The class will be taught by Curt Boston of Tabor’s Pawn Shop.

Playhouse Producing Director Jim Crabtree said, “Since Tabor’s is the firearms sponsor for our current production of ‘Annie Get Your Gun,’ we thought this would be a perfect time to give something back to our community. Over 40 percent of Cumberland County residents own guns, and Curt is delighted to share his expertise with members of the community in an effort to increase gun safety awareness.”

According to the Crossville Chronicle, Boston is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, an NRA Certified Home Safety Instructor, an NRA Certified Range Officer and a State of Tennessee Certified Handgun Instructor.

Topics covered in class include basic firearm types, safe gun handling and using or storing a gun. The class is open to ages 9 to adult.
