On Saturday, July 19, the 200th birthday of Samuel Colt will be celebrated with a series of exciting events in and around Coltsville Historic District in Hartford, Connecticut.
The flagship event will be Colt’s “Big Bash Festival,” which is set for Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Colt Park. This festival will feature attractions for kids, bands, contests and dancing for families, a beer garden, merchants and food vendors, and vintage baseball. Best of all, admission is free!
Tours and exhibits of unique artifacts and iconic venues will also be available.
Accompanying the Big Bash Festival will be a Colt Gala from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The event will take place in the Church of the Good Shepherd Grand Ballroom and will feature dinner, dancing and a silent auction. Tickets are required for the Gala.
