Concealed Carrie — a Georgia-based manufacturer of upscale concealed carry handbags — has expanded its product line with the introduction of the Compact Carrie handbag.
According to Women’s Outdoor News, the new Compact Carrie handbag is available in Bright Red Leather, Cool Blue Leather, or Mustard. It boasts a double-sided design which acts as a wallet on one side while keeping the firearm separate and secure on the other side of the bag. It also has a zippered main compartment which has dividers for currency, credit cards and other personal items. Meanwhile, the double-zippered velcro-lined compartment stores the handgun. Each handbag comes with a removable, adjustable holster. Simply put, these are perfect for taking to the range or using as a gun bag and wallet.
The Bright Lead Leather and Cool Blue Leather variants are available for $149. The Mustard handbag can be purchased for $109.
“To become more familiar and comfortable with firearms, I attended a ladies’ defensive handgun class, and later a concealed carry class,” owner and designer Leslie Deets said on her website. “In both cases, I was struck by the women who came to class wearing holsters strapped to their bodies or toting less desirable military-style concealed carry bags that were far from feminine. So, being the self-proclaimed fashionista I am, I studied the current trends in women’s high-end handbags and concluded that demand would be high for a concealed carry option that offered the utmost in both style and quality of material.
“Why should women be forced to compromise fashion for function?” she asked.
