A self-defense class — sponsored by the YWCA HOPE Center — is being offered for women at the Epic Center in Lima, Ohio on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The program is completely free of charge and open to women ages 13 and up.
According to LimaOhio.com, the three-hour introductory class will be taught by Mark Kohn, a Krav Maga instructor. Kohn will teach students risk awareness, risk reduction and personal safety information and skills. He will also provide instructions on some basic physical self-defense techniques.
