According to WIFR, the class is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 4. It lasts for two weeks and will take place on Mondays and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The self-defense course will be taught at the the dance studio in the physical education center at Rock Valley College. The cost of participating is $40. Members of the Rock Valley Police Department are teaching the class.
“I see the students from the very beginning where they may be feeling timid about even striking the pads, they don’t want to hurt the pad to really wanting to knock my head off with their striking motions and kicks,” says RVC Police Chief Joe Drought.
