The Santa Monica Police Department has teamed with Krav Maga Worldwide — a reality-based self-defense organization which teaches Krav Maga self-defense, fitness and combat — to offer two free community self-defense classes this September for those who live, work or attend school in Santa Monica.
According to the Santa Monica Mirror, this class is designed for adults who want to learn important self-defense techniques should they ever find themselves in a vulnerable position.
The class, which is completely free of charge and is two hours in length, will be taught by a certified Krav Maga Instructor and an officer from the Defensive Tactics Unit of the Santa Monica Police Department.
The first class is set for Saturday, Sept. 6, while the second takes place on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the West LA Krav Maga facility at 11400 W. Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064.
Class size is limited, so you’ll want to make a reservation. Email [email protected] to book a spot.
