According to the Stuttgart Daily Leader, a certified bodyguard and law enforcement instructor from the Defensive Tactics Institute — an Arkansas home and personal defense training center — will be on hand to teach women the Women Assault Survival and Prevention self-defense class, which involves various self-defense techniques, effective tools to carry, how to recognize trouble early, and whether or not one should carry a gun.
The class is open to women of all ages. The cost of attendance is $15, which is discounted from $25. There are three different class times so that everybody can attend: 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
For registration forms, call First Baptist Church at (870) 673-6952 or the KD Shack at (870) 674-7483.
