The Sportsmen’s Association for Firearms Education (S.A.F.E) is set to host its annual 2014 Firearm Civil Rights Conference in Smithtown, New York.
According to the NRA-ILA, Attendees will learn about a variety of Second Amendment issues on a local and national level. They’ll also have the opportunity to “meet and network with fellow sportsmen concerned about their civil rights and how to protect them,” the NRA-ILA said. Invitations have been extended to all candidates from both major parties. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win prizes in exclusive drawings.
This conference will take place Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at UPSKY Long Island Hotel, which is formerly known as the Sheraton Long Island. The doors open at 12:00 noon. Admission and parking is completely free, and the event is open to your family and friends.
A number of different keynote speakers will be on hand, including Rob Astorino, Candidate for Governor of New York State (not confirmed); James W. Porter II, President of NRA; Anthony Bernardo, Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for Legislative Action and the Canadian Shooting Sports Association; Ginny Simone, NRA radio show host and investigative reporter; Darin Goens, NRA State Liaison for New York State; and John L. Cushman, S.A.F.E. President and Founder, NRA Board Member, and Member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association.
