According to the Moberly Monitor-Index, the workshop will feature an overview of situational awareness for when you’re at home, work, and performing daily activities. It will be taught by Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols and self-defense instructor Brad Terry.
“This is a class that develops the mindset needed to make individuals aware of their surroundings,” Sheriff Nichols said. “If people are not aware of their surroundings they have a better chance of being victimized.”
As the Moberly Monitor-Index reports, the cost of attendance is $30 per person, and the class will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in room C37 at the MACC Career Center. In addition to teaching individual mindset, awareness levels and self-defense breakaway techniques, Nichols and Terry will teach how to avoid or lessen the chances of becoming a victim.
