According to WIVB, police received a call at 1 a.m. with a report of two people wearing dark clothing tempting to break into a home on Transit Road. While the police were on their way to the home, they got a second call which stated that the suspects were being held at gunpoint by the homeowner and his son.
As GunsSaveLives.net points out, the types of firearms used is currently unknown.
When police arrived at the scene, they learned that Jacob Rappleye, 181, and Anthony Guarino, 22, both used a ladder to climb into the second story window of the home in question.
WIVB said both suspects have been charged with attempted burglary, criminal mischief and possession of marijuana. Rappleye has been released on bail, while Guarino is at the Erin County Holding Center.
