Safariland congratulates team member Robert Vogel for his win of the Stock Service Pistol (SSP) Division at the 2014 IDPA Nationals held in Tulsa, Oklahoma early September. Using his Safariland Model 5199 holster, Vogel dominated the entire match coming in with the fastest overall time of 209.10, and defending his title against more than 400 competitors. In addition, Vogel finished as the most accurate competitor with just 10 points down after completing all 15 stages.
Vogel competes in IDPA competitions with the Safariland holster model 5199-683-411, Open Top Concealment Belt Clip Holster with Detent, the model 779-83-131, Double Magazine Pouch mounted to a 744BL Belt Clip, and model032 Range Belt. “The Safariland 5199 holster is my favorite! I have used many holsters and this is the most reliable. I take this holster with me all over the world to use in both my classes and matches,” said Vogel.
The 2014 IDPA National Championship was held at the USSA Shooting Range and competitors from all over the world gathered to take part in this 15-stage match. The stages were designed to challenge participants at all skill levels with a round count of 260+.
