The Republican Party of Gulf County has announced plans to host a concealed carry weapons training program on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET at PoJo Place in Port St. Joe, Florida.
As StarFl.com points out, the program — which includes both classroom instruction and range training — is being put on to assist residents in legally and safely exercising their constitutional rights under the Second Amendment.
To that end, National Rifle Association certified instructor Dick Reinholtz will be on hand to provide instruction. Class size is limited to 25 people, which guarantees you’ll receive specialized one-on-one training.
Successful completion of the class will result in each participant being given a training certificate and a package to apply for a concealed carry permit valid in Florida and 30 other states with which Florida has reciprocity.
The cost of attendance is $80 per student. The deadline for submitting an application and paying the fee is Nov. 8. If you sign up but then decide to cancel, a request to cancel your class attendance must be received no later than Nov. 10.
Application forms and more information can be found at No Name Café Books and More at 325 Reid Avenue in Port St. Joe.
Those with questions about the class can contact Tom Semmes by phone at 227-5601, or though email at TSemes@netscape.com.
